Who is Adelaide?
Hi, I’m Adelaide Arthur, the creative behind Unforgettable Interiors.
As a residential interior designer, I’m passionate about creating spaces that not only look beautiful, but also nurture, inspire, and stand the test of time. My love for interiors began in childhood. I have always had a quiet fascination with how spaces could make people feel, and how the atmosphere of a home could shape daily life. That early curiosity evolved into a career grounded in thoughtful design and a deep respect for the way our environments support us.
My aesthetic is rooted in a deep appreciation for design history and the enduring beauty of architectural detail. I’m especially drawn to the craftsmanship and integrity found in historical movements; from the honest materials and handmade quality of Arts & Crafts to the timeless principles that have shaped enduring design across eras. These influences offer a richness of inspiration, not as rigid styles to replicate, but as reference points for thoughtful, lasting design. I take these historical cues and translate them into designs that feel warm, grounded, and deeply considered, creating spaces with a sense of story and soul, tailored for modern living.
I also draw inspiration from the natural world, its tones, textures, and sense of calm. I aim to create a sense of flow between indoors and outdoors through natural light, organic shapes and natural materials to ground and restore.
What truly drives me is the emotional power that well-designed spaces can have. I understand that the environments we inhabit affect how we feel and interact with the world around us. That’s why I approach every project with a focus on nurturing connection, comfort, and reflection. I want each design I create to be a space where you feel truly at home, where you can be inspired, find peace, and live your best life.
Design, for me, goes far beyond the visual. I believe a well-considered space can elevate your everyday - enhancing your wellbeing, supporting your routines, becoming a quiet backdrop to your most meaningful moments. Whether it’s a family home, a stylish office, or a space for daily renewal, I approach each project with care, intuition, and a commitment to designing environments that truly reflect the people who inhabit them.
Kitchens and bathrooms are areas where I bring particular focus. These spaces require a harmony between beauty and practicality and when designed well, they can completely transform the way you experience your home. Whether it’s the warmth of a kitchen gathering or the calm of a morning ritual, I design with the intention of supporting how you live, not just how a space looks.
At Unforgettable Interiors, every project is an opportunity to create environments that nurture and become a lasting part of your life. These are more than just rooms; they are places where lasting memories unfold.
Frequently asked questions

Every designer works a little differently, but here’s how I typically guide clients through a project:
1. Consultation
We start with a one-on-one conversation to understand your vision, lifestyle, and how you want the space to feel and function before I develop a tailored design concept.2. Design Development
Once the proposal is approved and contracts are in place, we refine the details. This stage includes furniture, lighting, and finishes. You’ll have up to two rounds of revisions to make sure everything feels right. My aim is to stay flexible while keeping the project moving forward.3. Implementation
I coordinate with contractors and suppliers to bring the design to life, ensuring the execution stays true to our vision.4. Final Reveal
Once everything’s in place, we’ll walk through the space together to ensure it meets your expectations. -
The timeline depends on the scope of the project. A small room redesign might take a few weeks, while a full home renovation can take several months. We’ll set a realistic timeline after discussing your specific needs.

Working with an interior designer takes the stress out of making your space feel just right. Whether you’re overwhelmed with choices or simply don’t have the time, a designer can help. From layout and flow to finishes and furniture, we help you get it right the first time, avoid costly missteps, and create a space that truly works for your lifestyle.
Here’s why working with a designer makes all the difference:
Clarity and direction: We take your ideas and turn them into a cohesive, functional plan
Smarter spending: We help you invest in the right places and avoid expensive mistakes.
Time-saving expertise: No more decision fatigue. We streamline the process from start to finish.
Access and connections: We bring in the right trades, materials, and trusted sources you may not find on your own
-
The first step is scheduling a consultation. During this meeting, we’ll discuss your ideas, style preferences, functionality needs, and budget. From there, I’ll guide you through each stage of the process.
-
In-Person or Virtual Consultation: $350 for 90 minutes
On-Site Consultation (at your home or business): From $450 for 90 minutes (travel fees may apply depending on location)
During your consultation, we assess your space, discuss your goals, and offer expert guidance to help you move forward confidently, whether it’s a full renovation or a small refresh.
If you choose to proceed with a full design service, the consultation fee is redeemable as a credit toward your total design package.
-
Your input is essential and I want to create a space that feels uniquely yours. I’ll present design concepts and ideas for your feedback at each stage, and I’ll ensure that you’re fully involved in the decision-making process.
-
Not at all. Even if you’re not sure what you want yet, I’ll help you uncover your style and needs during our consultation.
-
Absolutely, I can incorporate your existing pieces into the design, or we can create a new look using a mix of your current items and new additions. My goal is to make sure everything blends seamlessly while reflecting your personal style.
-
I can help source and recommend furniture, decor, and accessories based on the design development. I’ll present options within your budget, and I can manage the purchasing and installation process. Alternatively, if you prefer to handle the shopping, I can provide a detailed list of items to help guide your selections.
-
We’ll establish a clear budget from the beginning, and I’ll ensure that every part of the design process stays within that range. If adjustments are necessary, I’ll communicate them promptly to avoid surprises.
-
I can coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other professionals needed for the project, such as electricians, painters, or carpenters. If you have trusted vendors, we can work together, or I can recommend trusted professionals.
-
